New Delhi : Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) Monday announced a list of 36 probables for a month-long preparatory camp ahead of the Asia Cup in September and the crucial Olympics qualifiers early next year.
The camp starts Sunday at Sports Authority of India's south centre in Bangalore, the IHF said in a statement.
Asia Cup will be held in Chennai from September 1 to 9 while the Olympic qualifying tournament will be held in Auckland in February 2008.
India will have to win one of the three available places at the qualifiers to book a berth in next August's Beijing Olympics.
The other two Olympic qualifying tournaments will be held in Chile in March and in Japan in April.
After the Bangalore camp, another week long training stint is planned before the captain and final Asia Cup is announced, said an IHF source.
Joaquim Carvalho remains the chief coach and will be assisted by Mohinder Pal Singh and M. Ramesh Parmeswaran.
