Tehran : Investment in Iran's industrial and mining sectors increased by 51 percent in the last Iranian year (ended March 19) compared to the previous year, Minister of Labor Mohammad Jahromi said Tuesday.
The minister said a major problem in the field of employment was lack of sufficient investment.
Public motivation for making more investment has increased nationwide, Jahromi said.
He added that his respective ministry was trying to remove the remaining obstacles in this connection by solving problems of present production units, completion of unfinished projects and creating industrial clusters.
Jahromi also stressed on the need for making further investment in downstream and midstream industries as the two sections enjoyed high capacity to increase employment.
