New Delhi : Indian IT major NIIT Thursday announced its agreement with the Malaysia's Ministry of Human Resources to train and develop skilled IT manpower.
Under the agreement, NIIT will implement its NIIT Inside model in Arumugam Pillai Industrial Training Institute (APITI), under the aegis of the Malaysian government.
"Human talent development is key to our mission of achieving the status of a developed nation. Having global partners such as NIIT to train our people will help us create a new breed of professionals and contribute significantly towards the development of IT related industry," Dato' Thomas George, secretary general of Malaysia's Ministry of Human Resources, said in a statement.
NIIT would also work towards creating a complete academic framework for attracting and creating a large base of skilled manpower in information technology in the country.
"This partnership recognises the relevance of NIIT's curricula and opens the door for thousands of students in Malaysia's information training institutes to get globally-relevant ICT skills," said G. Raghavan, the president of NIIT's Global Individual Learning Business.
