Rostock (Germany) : Germany's constitutional court confirmed Tuesday zoning restrictions on demonstrations against the Group of Eight (G8) summit.
At the summit venue, a luxury beachside hotel, only 15 representative protesters are to be allowed to hold a vigil at the hotel, under a tribunal ruling upheld by the court.
At nearby Rostock airport where the eight delegations are to land Wednesday, demonstrators must stay in a cordoned-off protest zone.
Police are permitting a handful of demonstrators, who must be vetted in advance, through the gate in the welded-mesh fence and close to the beachside hotel.
Protest groups had sought a larger number.
A third appeal, against a requirement that a mass protest Thursday stays on a highway which comes no closer than 6 kilometres to the summit hotel, will be decided Wednesday, the spokeswoman said.
