World Environment Day celebrated at Bhopal BHEL

Bhopal, June 06 : An awareness programme was organised by Safety & Environment Engineering Department, Kasturba Hospital and Town Administration Department at Kasturba Hospital on World Environment Day 2007 on Tuesday.
   
According to a Press release Mrs. Prabha Singh, President, Ladies Club  was the chief guest and M.C. Prasad GM (HR) was guest of honour in the programme.
   
Prasad highlighted the importance of maintaining the ecological  balance. He emphasised on individual efforts for protecting environment and requested one and all to provide support in maintaining plantation to create better environment.
   
Dr N.C. Agrawal, CMS  emphasised that through plantation of medicinal plants, a garden will be developed in the Kasturba Hospital which will be beneficial for the patients and their attendants and create a good environment in and around Kasturba Hospital.
    
Mrs. Singh, administered the “Earth Pledge� to the audience. She highlighted the importance of environment and the need to protect earth. 
   
U.K.Singhal, Sr. DGM (TAD) welcomed the guests and deliberated the efforts made by BHEL to protect environment through plantation programmes.
   
Dr Renu Rawal proposed the vote of thanks. Mukesh Shrivastava, Manager (SFX), conducted the programme. The programme was attended by Mrs. Abha Prasad, senior members of Ladies Club, senior officials and union representatives.
   
After the programme, all guests planted saplings at Kasturba Hospital site. ([email protected])
