Islamabad : At least 12 people were killed and eight injured Sunday when the passenger van they were travelling in plunged into a ravine in northwestern Pakistan.
Local militia commander Mukaram Khan said the van was heading to Chitral from Peshawar, the capital city of the country's North Western Frontier Province (NWFP).
He added that the road in Malakand, where the accident took place, has been under construction for four years.
