Rajni had jumped to death from the office of Emmanuel Hospital Association, an NGO, at Dipali Towers in Nehru Place.

The victim had come to stay at her uncle's place at Okhla in south Delhi a few days ago. But she was forced to leave the house later as her relatives reportedly caught her stealing a mobile phone, police said, adding that she was also accused by the relatives of stealing Rs.500,000 in cash.

Ravinder, the uncle of the victim, told police that he had called her Friday to meet near Paras cinema, close to the site of the suicide, to discuss the issue of the theft, but she went to the high-rise building and ended her life.

Rajni had also left a suicide note that read: "I am committing suicide at my own wish and no one should be held responsible."

"The victim's body has been handed over to her relatives, but further investigations are still underway," a senior police official said.
