Air India plane makes emergency landing

New Delhi, June 26 (IANS) An Air India plane with 160 passengers on board made an emergency landing after midnight Monday at the Indira Gandhi International airport here after developing a technical snag. All passengers are safe.

Air India flight 348 from Mumbai, headed to Bangkok and Tokyo, landed at around 12.30 p.m.

“The pilot called up to report a technical snag in the landing gear system. The craft landed normally and was taxied to the workshop for check up,” an airport official said.

The airliner is making suitable arrangements to fly the passengers to Japan and Thailand.
