Shimla : Strong winds along with thunder and lightening brought showers to this popular resort town of Himachal Pradesh early Wednesday.
The storm and rains considerably brought down the mercury by several degrees below normal, forcing many to pull out their woollens in Shimla.
On Tuesday, the temperature had touched 25 degrees Celsius, but dropped considerably on Wednesday after the storm.
The blustery winds also blew away tinned roofs at several places here.
The higher peaks of tribal Lahaul and Kinnaur valleys received a light spell of snowfall Tuesday due to which the entire tribal region is in the grip of a cold wave.
