Sevilla thus go into the final on an emphatic 5-0 semi-final result, having also won 3-0 up in La Coruna in the first leg three weeks ago.

Sevilla coach Juandce Ramos put out a reserve-packed team Wednesday, resting most of his regulars for next week's UEFA Cup final against Espanyol.

Nonetheless, Duda gave the hosts the lead after just two minutes, with a classy left-foot free kick.

In the 32nd minute Ernesto Chevanton, another reserve, made it 2-0 by turning in a centre from the left.

Sevilla eased up in the second half, certain of their passage into the final.

They are the only team in Europe still able to win three trophies this spring, though their chances of winning "La Liga" have dimmed since losing 2-3 to Real Madrid Sunday.

In contrast, it has been a miserable season for Deportivo, and this semi-final defeat has almost certainly sealed the fate of embattled coach Joaquin Caparros.

In the final, to be played in Madrid June 23, Sevilla will probably face Barcelona.

Barca beat Bernd Schuster's Getafe 5-2 at home in the first leg of the other semi-final.
