New Delhi : Bharti Airtel Monday announced a 39 percent reduction in its international long distance tariffs to the US and Canada.
Airtel mobile subscribers can call the US and Canada for Rs.1.99 per minute. This offer would be available only on the Airtel STD and ISD calling card worth Rs.2,245.
"Airtel as an industry leader has always been at the forefront of leading affordability, driving value and expanding the market. India is a global economic powerhouse today with business interests spanning boundaries," said Sanjay Gupta, chief marketing officer (mobile services), Bharti Airtel.
"With more and more Indians connecting with their friends, family and business associates across the world, it is imperative that international calling becomes more affordable," Gupta added.
Bharti Airtel, part of Bharti Enterprises, is India's largest private telecom service providers with a total subscriber base of 40.8 million at the end of April 2007, having its presence over 23 telecom circles.
