Baghdad : At least 20 people were killed and more than 20 wounded Thursday when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a recruitment centre in the restive city of Fallujah, local police said.`
"A suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest blew himself up among a group of recruits who were queuing to apply for jobs on the police forces of Fallujah," the source said.
The attack took place before midday, killing at least 20 people, including policemen, and wounding more than 20 others, the source said.
The predominantly Sunni enclave has long been the hotbed of violence and insurgency against US troops and Iraqi security forces since the US-led invasion in 2003
