Bihar to start PSC coaching for Minority students

Patna: Mr. Rashid Khan, Secretary of Minority Welfare Department of
the Bihar Government stated today that the state government has
started to accept application for admission in a special coaching
scheme for Minority students. This is to ensure good performance of
the students of the minority community in the competitive examination.
He hoped that the participation of minority community in different
services will increase and their social and economical development
would be possible with this.

The Secretary of Minority Welfare Department told today that in the
first phase of the above scheme the coaching of the preliminary test
(P.T) and mains of Bihar Public Service Commission is arranged and in
the second phase the coaching for Staff Selection Commision, Banking,
Railway Recruitment Board etc. and Medical, Engineering, Pharmacy and Management education entrance examination will be arranged in
financial year 2007-08.

The Secretary reported that students will have to pay Rs 10,000 per
student per annum for coaching of preliminary and mains examination of B.P.S.C. and higher education (Management, Master of Computer
Application, Chartered Accountant, Engineering, Medical and other
technical education). For coaching of other exams Rs 5000 per student
per annum is fixed.

Mr. Rashid has made it clear that 90 percent students of Muslim
community and rest 10 percent of other community will be benefited.
There is also a provision to give benefit to the students of Muslim
community in case 10 percent of other community students are no
available.

The Secretary told that application will be invited twice a year in
the month of April-May and October-November to the interested students in this special coaching.
