Srinagar : Three troopers of Border Security Force (BSF) were wounded in a landmine explosion in north Kashmir Thursday.
Police said militants detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) near Chenkipora village on Sopore-Bandipora road, 54 km north of summer capital Srinagar.
"The IED exploded when a BSF vehicle reached the spot," a senior police officer told IANS. The injured have been evacuated for treatment to a hospital. The vehicle was extensively damaged.
Police and paramilitary reinforcements have been rushed to the spot as traffic on the road was suspended following the explosion.
