Nagpur : Sunati Habbibullah, 105, was among the first batch of 170 Haj pilgrims from Maharashtra that left here Monday by an Air India flight bound for Jeddah.
Habbibullah is travelling with her son and daughter-in-law.
The pilgrims came from different districts of Vidarbha, said Minister of Waqf Anis Ahmed, after he saw them off.
Over 2,000 pilgrims from Vidarbha and neighbouring Chhattisgarh are expected to fly to Jeddah this year from Nagpur.
The first direct Nagpur-Jeddah special Haj flight was started in 2003.
