Amritsar (Punjab) : The Punjab police Wednesday arrested a Nigerian national Nwabudu Chijioke Dasil and recovered one kilogram of heroin from him.
The contraband is worth Rs.10 million ($250,000) in the international market.
Officials of the narcotics cell of Punjab police said that they arrested the Nigerian from Gharinda village near the India-Pakistan international border following a tip off. Dasil had just collected his consignment when he was nabbed.
The Nigerian told the police that he was to take the drug to Delhi.
