New Delhi : Anticipating increased air traffic during the winter holiday season, the Indian government Thursday permitted airlines to temporarily increase their capacity during this period.
“To counter the winter rush, all airlines will be allowed to upgrade their aircraft to any capacity level on their existing frequencies at all airports in India,” a civil aviation ministry release said.
The increased capacity will be permitted between Dec 1, 2007 and Jan 31, 2008.
