Arab diplomats finalize agenda of Economic Council”s ministerial meeting

Cairo : Permanent representatives to the Arab League who are member in the Economic Unity Council approved Sunday the agenda of the ministerial meeting of the Council’s next meeting, due in December 6.

The permanent representatives discussed economic files to be referred to the Arab Economic Summit including the development of the Arab investments and how to finance the private sector in the Arab countries, Council’s assistant secretary general Dr. Ahmad Juwaily told reporters after the meeting.

They have also discussed the completion of the inter-Arab economic integration following the establishment of the grand Arab trade zone, he said.

The upcoming phase in the council’s agenda includes the Arab custom union as a step towards the creation of the common Arab market, said Juwaily, as well as the development of transportation and infrastructure.

Juwaily said the agenda included an Arab agreement over e-signature and the Arab Development Holding Compnay which has a capital of USD 100 million.
