A press statement issued here Monday by Technopark said that the agreement has been signed with an objective to create a bond of friendship with China that needs to be nurtured and sustained over a period of time.

Technopark CEO N. Radhakrishnan Nair signed the agreement Sep 23, when he visited SIIB headquarters.

As the first step towards the friendship, Technopark will be host to a six-member Chinese delegation from Shenyang, scheduled to visit Technopark in November this year, the statement said.

The agreement encourages Shenyang-based IT companies to explore possibilities of locating themselves at Technopark here and Kochi-based Infopark, either as wholly owned foreign enterprises or as joint venture partners with Indian software companies.

Technopark will promote cooperation between Indian IT and ITes companies from here and Shenyang-based IT companies, especially in areas of business process outsourcing for Japan, South Korea and China.

“It is a great achievement for Technopark to be associated with our Chinese counterparts in the development of IT in Kerala. We are very excited to develop and sustain this friendship to develop into a fruitful and endearing relationship,” said Nair.
