New Delhi: Three Muslim candidates qualified for appointment to Central Police Forces for the year 2007.
Mohammad Rashed Reza is ranked 7th on the merit list. Khan Fahad at 67th and Md. Fayazuddin Ahmed at 70th position are the other two Muslims in the merit list.
216 candidates qualified based on the result of the written part of Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2006 held by the Union Public Service Commission on 8th October, 2006 and the interviews for Personality Test held in September, 2007.
Qualified candidates are eligible for appointment to the Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo Tibetan Border Police, Sashastra Seema Bal, and Central Industrial Security Force.
Out of 216 candidates recommended for appointment include 111 General, 55 Other Backward Classes, 36 Scheduled Castes and 14 Scheduled Tribes candidates.
