Hyderabad : Left arm-spinner Murali Kartik comes into the side after a gap of 20 months in place of Ramesh Powar for the fourth and the fifth One-Day Internationals against Australia in the ongoing Future Cup, the Indian cricket board announced here Friday.
The selectors stuck to their rotation policy, which helped Kartik get a nod during the tournament. The left-arm spinner’s last ODI was against Pakistan in Peshawar in February 2006.
For the Twenty20 match slated for Oct 20 at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) in Mumbai, the selectors retained the same World Cup winning team, except injured Piyush Chawla.
India will play the fourth ODI in Chandigarh Monday and the fifth match in Baroda Thursday.
