At least 60 anti-war protesters arrested at Capitol Hill

Washington : Dozens of anti-war protesters were arrested at the Capitol Hill here after some of them blocked an intersection close to a congressional office building.

The protesters, holding anti-war signs, blocked the intersection at New Jersey and Independence avenues, according to CNN.

Some 60 people, including four youngsters, were then arrested for “unlawful assembly” and other reasons, Capitol Police spokeswoman Kimberly Schneider said.

The protesters included members of Code Pink and Iraq Veterans Against the War, two prominent anti-war groups.
