The radio, citing military sources Monday, said the border passageway of Kirm Shalom, located on the border Israeli-Egyptian-Gaza axis, would be open in the coming days.

The radio said the Israeli authorities decided to “allow entry of food supplies by a trickle” from now on, noting that up to 100 truckloads of supplies used to be sent into the strip.

Israel, on Sunday, started cutting inflow of fuel and necessities into the strip. It had also shut the Karni passageway, east of Gaza city.

Israel has declared Gaza a “hostile entity” and slashed inflow of fuel and other basics as “a punitive measure” against the leadership in the strip. Tel Aviv holds this leadership responsible for recurring rocket attacks.

Hamas has taken control of the strip in fierce fighting against Fatah of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, a main architect of the 90s’ Oslo peace accords with Israel.
