Preparations afoot for Global Investors Meet at Indore

Bhopal: Preparations are afoot on war footing for the Global Investor Meet to be held at Indore, the financial capital of central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, on October 26 and 27 this year. As many as 350 industrialists and investors are expected to take part in this ambitious and prestigious meet.

The Madhya Pradesh Minister for Industry Jayant Malaiya took stock of the preparations for the proposed Global Investor Meet and reviewed the activities in a meeting held in Indore on Friday.

While addressing the meeting, Malaiya said that all the infrastructure works related to the meet must be completed in the stipulated time limit. He suggested that all the electric poles and grills of the main roads should be painted in one color to enhance the beauty of the city.

The Minister for Public Works Department Kailash Vijayvargiya reviewed the construction works and instructed that special arrangements should be made for cleaning of VIP roads.

Earlier to this, both the ministers carried out on the spot inspection of the construction works related to the global investors meet. They also inspected the road leading from the airport to the city besides places related to the meet.

It was informed in the review meeting that the foreign as well as domestic investors would be introduced with the wide possibilities of investment in tourism, IT, power, education, agriculture, food processing fields to accelerate the pace of industrial development in the state. Also, light and decoration arrangements would be made in crystal IT park for the guests on October 26. Further, renovation work is being undertaken in Residency Kothi and encroachments have been removed from these roads. Also, lighting and decoration arrangements at the important multi-storied buildings, shopping malls and major hotels would be made with the public co-operation at the time of Global Investors Meet besides welcome banners.
