New Delhi: Bollywood actress and director Puja Bhatt has written a letter to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in which she has informed him about threats she has received from anti-social elements after making film ‘Dhoka.’

Recently released ‘Dhoka’ is story of Indian Muslims and their search for justice in India.

In her letter to the Prime Minister, Ms. Bhatt is reported to have written if she a Hindu is targeted and people trying to stifle her voice then one can imagine what average Muslims are going through. She has sent the letter to the Minorities Commission and Human Rights Commission.

In the letter she alleged that gangster Ravi Pujari has expressed his anger, with threatening phone calls, on the film which raises voice against injustice and brutality against Muslims in this country.

Last year, gunmen reported to be from Pujari’s gang fired at Mahesh Bhatt’s office. Mr. Bhatt was not in his office then.

Pujari’s name also surfaced on the unsuccessful attempt on the life of Criminal Lawyer Majeed Memon.
