Mexico City, Sep 27 (Xinhua) Indian Grandmaster (GM) Viswanathan Anand, who leads the World Chess Championship here, faces two tough games in the tournament’s three final rounds, chess experts feel.

Anand is defending a 1.5-point advantage into the 12th round that will be played Thursday from 2.00 p.m.

The Indian world number one secured his lead Tuesday by defeating Russian GM Alexander Morozevich playing a 56-move Sicilian Najdorf opening.

“Anand will not have easy games next three rounds because he will play with black twice, first in his 12th-round game against Russian GM Peter Svidler and later in his 13th-round game against another Russian GM Alexander Grischuk,” Russian chess commentator Marina Makarycheva told Xinhua.

“Anand has better chances to draw or win in his 14th-round game against Hungarian GM Peter Leko because he will be playing with white pieces,” Makarycheva added.
