Baghdad : Three civilians were killed and 10 others injured in three explosions in eastern Baghdad on Thursday, a well-informed police source said.
A booby trapped car parked near a bank in the Baghdad al-Jadida neighborhood went off in the morning, killing two civilians and wounding four others, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
In a separate incident, a roadside bomb detonated near Baghdad’s University of Technology, killing a woman and wounding another civilian along with damaging a civilian car, the source said.
In addition, five civilians were wounded when a vehicle blew up accidentally in a workshop in Ur neighborhood northeast of the capital, he said.
The incidents came after a bloodiest day over the past two weeks when a series of explosions across Iraq killed more than 50 people and injured about 70 others.
