Islamabad : At least five persons were killed in shooting incidents and twin explosions Tuesday in Pakistan, police said.
A team of Frontier Core (FC) was on routine patrol when unknown armed militants opened indiscriminate fire at them on Seryab Road in Quetta, capital of Southwestern Baluchistan province, police sources told KUNA. They said an FC personnel was killed and another was wounded in the attack.
Meanwhile, the sources said at least four persons have reportedly been killed in remote-controlled bomb explosions in northern Sawat valley.
A delegation of local Peace Committee was coming to Sawat when, near Matta area, their vehicle was targeted with roadside remote-controlled bombs, police sources said.
They said the explosion badly damaged the vehicle and killed at least four members of the peace committee.
