Ankara, Turkey : Turkey’s prime minister says the top court’s decision to hear a case for a ban on his Ruling party will weaken the state.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan vows, however, that the case will not stop his government from carrying out reforms, according to a report of the Associated Press.
The Constitutional Court has voted unanimously to hear the case arguing for a ban on the governing party on the grounds that it is trying to undermine secular ideals enshrined in the constitution.
Erdogan was speaking on Tuesday.
