Hyderabad : British Airways will operate Hyderabad-London flights from Oct 27, it was announced here Wednesday.
As part of the preparations for the flight launch, a team of officials from British Airways visited the new international airport at Shamshabad, near here.
The team went around the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), about 30 km from the city, and expressed happiness over the infrastructure and world-class facilities, including office space, in the new airport.
A statement from RGIA said the British Airways would commence operations with Boeing-777 Aircraft with five flights a week. Each flight will have 274 seats in business and economy classes.
Meanwhile, the airport has completed 10 days of operations, handling 1,90,000 passengers, including 30,000 international.
It has also handled 2,448 air traffic movements (1224 landings and 1224 take offs).
