Gaza : Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas ia scheduled to hold talks on Wednesday with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo to discuss the situation in the region and the current negotiations with Israel aiming to reach a peace settlement.
The two presidents meet today before Abbas’ return to Jordan to meet with Jordanian King Abdullah II.
President Abbas had met yesterday with Saudi King Abdullah, and the two discussed several issues, especially negotiations with Israel, the internal situation in Palestine, and relations with Hamas.
The Palestinian president had also met with Head of the Egyptian Intelligence, Major General Omar Sulaiman, and they reviewed the current situation in Palestine in view of continuous Israeli violence.
