Talking to reporters in Mumbai, the Minister hoped to resolve the issue soon. The meeting with officials of Pakistan and Iran is expected to be held in Pakistan, he said.

He said there were not many differences among the stakeholders. “There are only some pricing and cess issues to be discussed,” Media reports quoting him said.

Previously, India boycotted the trilateral talks scheduled in Tehran on the IPI gas project, reportedly due to pressure from the United states which was discouraging India to have commercial links with Iran.

During the forthcoming meeting, Pakistan and India will try to sort out the issue of transit fee, Pakistan will charge from India on transporting gas through its territory.
