Palestinian prisoner enters his 31 years of imprisonment in Israeli jail

Amman : Palestinian prisoner has just completed his 30 years of imprisonment in Israeli jail to become the second oldest prisoner in Israel. Na’el Al Barghuthi, 51, was arrested in April 4, 1978 when he was twenty years old, according to a press statement released by Arar Center for POW Studies, of which Petra office in Ramallah has got a copy.

Director of the center Fuad al-Khafash said Barghuthi is the second oldest Palestinian prisoner in Israel after dean of prisoners Said Al Atbeh. With those two, there are other fourteen Palestinian prisoners who have spent more 25 years in Israel jails, Khafash said.
