New Delhi : India and Germany launch on Tuesday their first naval exercises off India’s South Western coast, PTI reported.
The exercises would include seamanship exercise, communication, exchange of personnel and flying exercises, news agency Press Trust of India PTI reported today, quoting an official of India’s Southern Naval command. Nearly 300 personnel from the Indian Navy and 700 officials of the German Navy, are participating in the exercises off the coast of Kochi (Southern Indian State of Kerala), the news agency said. Rear Admiral Karl-Wilhelm Bollow of Germany is assigned to review the exercises. Later the vessels will visit the Western Indian state of Goa for exercises with the Western Naval Command, which will include anti- submarine exercises.
