President Musharraf in response to a question strongly condemned the incident of manhandling of Dr. Sher Afgan Niazi in Lahore and termed “unfortunate” violence in Karachi.

He said the incident of manhandling of Dr. Sher Afgan in Lahore by lawyers led to violence in Karachi, with some people supporting, while some others opposing the Lahore incident.

“Whosoever started it, I strongly condemn it”, the President said and asked “Is it a way of a civilized society?”

The President also appealed to the lawyers to remain calm and not to indulge in spreading anarchy.

To a question about his visit to China, President Musharraf said the two sides will discuss every facet of broad relationship that existed between Pakistan and China.

He said during his meeting with Chinese President Hu Jintao, the issues relating to bilateral relations as well as the regional matters would be discussed.

President Musharraf said he will also address the BOAO Forum for Asia, which this year has the theme “GREEN ASIA: Moving Towards Win-Win Through Changes”.
