Islamabad : At least six people were killed and 10 others injured Thursday in an explosion in Lahore, the capital city of the eastern Punjab province, TV channel DAWN NEWS reported.
The blast took place in a scrap warehouse in Misri Shah locality in Lahore, leaving dead six people, including house owner Raja Amir, said the report.
The police recovered six bodies from the site of the blast.
The injured were shifted to a local hospital, Lahore’s police chief Malik Iqbal was quoted as saying.
According to the police, a gas cylinder caused the blast.
Witnesses also said the incident occurred when the workers were cutting a gas cylinder, which exploded.
