Istanbul : Turkish Army announced on Wednesday it killed three members of the banned Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) southeastern the country.
The Turkish Army General Staff said in a statement that the militants were killed during military operations currently taking place at the province of Sirt, where the clashes are still going on.
The Army had launched a military operation this morning against the outlawed party in the border area of Sirank.
On February 21, the military launched a major ground incursion against the PKK, sending thousands of troops into Iraq. The General Staff said that 240 rebels were killed in the week-long campaign, along with 27 of its own men.
