Lahore : At least eight people were killed and several others injured in blast at a scrap market Thursday in Lahore, capital of Pakistan’s Punjab province, Pakistan Press International (PPI) reported.
City Police Chief Malik Iqbal confirmed seven people were killed in the blast which also injured 20 others at Misri Shah’s neighborhood of the city.
Police said gas cylinder caused the blast. They said the injured included students of nearby institutions.
Witnesses said labourers were cutting a gas cylinder was when it exploded with a huge bang. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where condition of some as stated to be critical.
