First Arab conference for excellence and competitiveness kicks off

Amman : Jordanian Minister of Public Sector reform, Maher Madadha, opened on Saturday the First Arab Conference on Preserving Excellence and Competitiveness in the Public and Private Sectors institutions.

The conference is organized by Mustaqbaliat Institution in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development at the Arab League.

The minister said that most of the public and private sectors institutions look forward to keep pace with the latest developments and seek for excellence to overcome many of the challenges they face.

He added that the ministry, and out of this understanding, is carrying out a development and reform program for the public sector, with the aim of creating the needed change towards the better and creating a public sector that is capable of dealing with citizens in high professionalism.

The conference will be discussing a number of working papers on strategic administration and planning and the role of strategic planning in developing public sector and the strategic planning in higher education as well as other subjects.
