Islamabad : Maj-Gen (retd) Mehmood Ali Durrani, Pakistan’s ambassador to Washington, was appointed as Advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security Tuesday, said an official statement.
The President issued the notification of Durrani’s appointment.
Hussain Haqqani has replaced Durrani. He will shortly depart for Washington to assume his duty as Pakistan’s new ambassador to the United States.
