Four killed in Jharkhand bus accident

Ranchi : Four people died in a bus accident in Gumla district of Jharkhand Thursday, the police said.

According to the police, an overcrowded bus was coming from Visnupur block to Gumla town when the bus hit the railing of a bridge. The accident took place around 130 km from Ranchi.

Four people died in the accident and 25 others sustained injuries. The injured passengers have been admitted to a local hospital. The condition of seven injured persons is said to be serious.

Nearly 55 people were travelling in the mini bus that was supposed to carry 30.

The passengers who died as well as the injured passengers were travelling on the roof of the bus. When the bus hit the bridge, they were thrown off.
