Bhopal: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal unit conducted a seminar along with M/s AMPRI (Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute) Bhopal (formerly known as Regional Research Laboratory) entitled “Togetherness: R & D and Industries” the other day. The objective was to have better understanding of expertise and facilities available with AMPRI, Bhopal for joint collaborative working.
In the inaugural address, Prabhat Kumar, GM (P & D), highlighted the importance of collaborative working with Research institutes for problem solving & new developments.
In the introductory address, Dr. Sukul Lomash, GM (TPTN & CET) enumerated a number of examples of joint working of BHEL with AMPRI on various research projects for mutual gains. He also stressed upon identification and listing of good work which can be jointly filed as patents by BHEL and AMPRI .
AMPRI experts Dr. Jha, Dr. Modi, Dr. Pathak and others presented number of case studies done by AMPRI in various areas which were well appreciated by the group. These were on FE modeling, simulation, life assessment, temperature distribution, micro-structural changes etc.
