Commissioner-general of the main bureau Mohammad al-Tayeb Busla’aa affirmed the need to continue supporting the Palestinian people and their right to resist Israeli occupation, in addition to working for implementing international legitimacy resolutions that guarantee the restoration of Arab rights, return of the Palestinian refugees to their homeland, establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the withdrawal of Israel from the occupied Syria Golan up to the June 4, 1967 line and from the occupied Lebanese lands.

The commissioner-general stressed the seriousness of the regional situation, affirming the bureau’s refusal of the so-called Syria Accountability Act which violates the principles of international law, UN resolutions and the Arab League charter.

For his part, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League Mohammad Sbeih pointed out that Arab boycott of Israel is an important political message, adding that the international community’s policy of double standards is a cover-up of Israel’s crimes and racist practices.

In turn, commissioner of the Islamic Bureau Salem al-Ojaili al-Hawni stressed the importance of boycott as a legal practice endorsed by international laws, calling on Arab and Islamic countries to revitalise and expand the boycott.

Director of the Syrian Regional Bureau Ghiath Badr Abbas underlined the difficult circumstances surrounding the conference and the need to take a unified stance against Israel to guarantee the future of the Arab nation.

The conference then moved on to continue deliberations in a closed session, discussing the ban on companies that breached the principles of boycotting and lifting bans on other companies which committed to it.
