Jammu : Fourteen schoolchildren were injured, some of them critically, when the bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge here Monday.
The accident occurred when the driver of the school bus failed to negotiate a sharp turn on the circular road in Panjtirthi, the police said.
The bus rolled down a 100-feet-deep gorge but the children were rescued immediately, according to the police.
The injured children have been shifted to Government Medical College hospital, Jammu, where the condition of some of them was stated to be critical.
