Ahmedabad : The Gujarat unit of the Congress will celebrate the state’s 49th foundation day Thursday with a meeting in Gandhinagar highlighting the contribution of the party’s past govenrments in boosting Gujarat’s economy.
“We will recall the past achievements of the Congress chief ministers and their contributions in making Gujarat a strong and industrially progressive state,” state Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki told mediapersons here Monday.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s political secretary Ahmed Patel, All-India Congress Committee (AICC) coordinator Rajiv Shukla, Leader of Opposition in the Gujarat assembly Shaktisinh Gohil, central Textile Minister Shankarsinh Vaghela, Minister of State for Railways Naranbhai Rathwa, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dinsha Patel, AICC secretary Irshad Mirza, MPs Pravin Rashtrapal, Madhusudan Mistry, former leader of opposition in the assembly Arjun Modhwadia, former deputy chief minister Narahari Amin among
others will participate in the meet.
