Ankara : The fourth World Islamic Economic Forum, hosted in Kuwait, is sure to bring the Islamic economic order more exposure, popularity, and momentum worldwide, a Turkish political figure told KUNA, in an interview, Tuesday.
Assistant to the Chairman of the Turkish Felicity Party, Ertan Yulek, said holding such gathering for a fourth time is indication of growing interest by Muslim as well as other states in Islamic economic principles and solutions for today’s economic concerns.
He added the venue this year coincides with sincere eagerness to find alternatives to counter the repeated and frequent economic crises.
The official pointed out the Islamic economic framework is full of advantages that are most and increasingly attractive to monetary and economic bodies worldwide.
There are areas of particular interest including the sales and trade exchange and financing which are being considered as real and feasible alternatives by international corporations, he pointed out.
As for the high level and volume of attendance, he attributed it to success of Islamic systems of striking a balance between justice and equal distribution of resources on the one hand and preserving individual property and rights on the other.
Other systems, Yulek said, failed to do this; socialism sacrificed the individual while capitalism sacrificed the group. The Islamic system, meanwhile, is balanced and suitable for anytime and place as it is deeply rooted in just objectivity.
The politician then recalled the role of former Turkish premier and current Chairman of the Felicity Party Necmettin Erbakan in promoting this venue. He is ever at work to further cooperation among all components of the monetary and financial system in Islamic countries, he added.
Yulek also traced the idea for establishing the WIEF forum to the meetings of Islamic world businessmen and industrialists, proposed by Erbakan, and added that should the WIEF forum prove a success, it would free the world from the cold suffocating grip of capitalism.
The working papers and studies reviewed at WIEF session are of great value and can help all those involved in the economic and monetary field, Yulek remarked, and papers on sales and trade exchange are specifically of great potential.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Teyyip Erdogan is expected to join heads of state and leaders attending the WIEF official inauguration.
The WIEF meetings are set to kick off in Kuwait, Tuesday, April 29, under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. WIEF activities are to last through to Thursday.
