Malik had started the indefinite fast Tuesday against what he said the “economic blockade” of the Kashmir valley by Hindu protesters in the Jammu region.

“Doctors said his blood pressure had fallen and he needed immediate medical help,” JKLF sources here told IANS.

“He has refused intravenous feeding, but we are giving him life-saving drugs through an intravenous line. He is already suffering from a heart condition and is highly dehydrated. He needs blood thinners to stabilise his condition,” a doctor attending on Malik told IANS.
