Dates of India’s home series against Australia revised

Mumbai : The dates of the third and fourth cricket Tests of the upcoming series between India and Australia in India have been rescheduled due to Diwali festivities.

The third Test was originally scheduled to begin in Delhi on Oct 28, the day of Diwali.

“It has therefore been decided to start the match Oct 29. The fourth Test at Nagpur was scheduled to begin from Nov 5 but now it has been pushed a day back,” Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement Friday.

The revised schedule of the Test series (Border-Gavaskar Trophy) is:
1st Test – Bangalore – Oct 9-13, 2008
2nd Test – Mohali – Oct 17-21, 2008
3rd Test – Delhi – Oct 29-Nov 2, 2008
4th Test – Nagpur – Nov 6-10, 2008
