Kabul : A soldier of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed in eastern Afghanistan while a coalition forces helicopter made hard landing in the volatile south.
According to ISAF press office in Kabul Monday, the soldier died of “non-combat injuries in eastern Afghanistan.” Name and nationality of the soldier were not released, and the military did not disclose the reason and exact location of the incident.
Separately, a helicopter of the US-led coalition troops made hard landing in Afghanistan’s southern province of Uruzgan on Sunday night.
Without mentioning the reason, the coalition force said there was no reported enemy fire in the area.
A statement from Bagram base of the US troops said that there were no injuries reported and that the helicopter was transported to a Coalition base.
“The cause of the incidenet is unknown at this time and is under investigations,” said the statement.
