Bhopal : All Gram Sabhas (village councils) in Madhya Pradesh have been asked to hold a meeting on Independence Day Friday to review implementation of the Forest Rights Act, National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) and other welfare schemes, officials said Thursday.
The state government has directed district collectors and chief executive officers of the district panchayats to ensure that the council meetings are held and a report submitted to the government.
